Orange Bow

IMG_0668-001 IMG_0667-001 IMG_0676-001

A very uninteresting blog post from me tonight. I desperatly needed a new purse, my River Island one kept opening by itself and I'd lose all my change somewhere in the bottom of my bag. I live accross the road from Manchester Fort so dragged myself around TK Maxx and fond this beauty, I did like another pink beauty but who needs two purses! I had never heard of Antoni & Alison before but a quick google and I found they were responsible for these beauties & I'm just useless at names!

Bloo Boo

Primark Bag / New Look Skirt / Monster Addiction / Models Own BlooBoo and Feeling Blue

- So second attempt at posting this blog, the image host went mad and didn't upload the photos correctly but showed them up on my laptop fine. Oh technology. The bag and skirt were slight impulse purchases when I had a few hours to kill in Manchester the other week. The bag I love, it is massive and add some much needed colour to my mostly black wardrobe. The skirt I love in principle, I can see it being worn with a black body scoop neck top and massive stripper-esque heels on a night out. Except I barely go out, when I do it's all about flat shoes and simple dresses.

- The nails started out as a copy of Charlene's amazing nails. (Seriously, I am addicted to her amazing nail art and think everyone should take a look at Dainty Nails so they can have some of their own!) but my Model's Own Nail Art Pen died, well is leaking everywhere so was hard to control. Only bought it a few weeks ago so a complaint email might be written. I never complain about anything, I am just too nice.

- When flat / job / life sorted I will be buying a proper camera. My mother has just bought herself a DLSR so am going to have a play with it when I go home for a few weeks. Though very much out of my budget! After my photo host problems I uploaded these to blogger and even though my blackberry photos are not great to start with, now they look even worse. Bah!

PS Think everyone should go visit Rare Candies, my lovely friend Hollie's blog. She is a beauty. That is all

Eyes Lips Face

I have been meaning to place an ELF order for quite some time. The other week they had a 50% off few days so decided to take the plunge. Quite a few items I wanted were out of stock but still bought a fair few things.

Matte Eyeshadow in Baked Berry & Cream Eyeliner in Gunmetal

These are both from the 'Studio' range. The packaging is wonderful and the included brushes are also lovely. The eyeshadow is a bit messy when applying but this is helped by ensuring you shake all the excess of the brush. It makes a lovely base and has good staying power. Will be ordering more colours of this! The eyeliner   is a lovely metalltic silver, I was going to buy it in black but already have 100 different eyeliners including the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner. It goes on nice and smooth and again has good staying power. Am going to wear it for work tonight (after a week off!) and will see how it lasts behind the bar.

Duo Eyeshadow Cream in Sugar Cookie

This I was less impressed with. I love the colour combination but it doesn't seem to be highly pigmented, as the swatches below hopefully show. It just gives a hint of colour, it is nice on the eye and stays put when put over a primer or neutral eyeshadow but isn't for a dramatic eye look. I will persevere with this as I love the colours and it is so easy to apply!

Just realised my skin is completely different colours in these, it is not the lighting but my fake tanned arm vs. my pale hand!

I did have more photos of this but they seem to have got lost between phone / camera and laptop. They will turn up in a random photo one day. It is basically a white powder that aims to create a "soft focus" on the skin. It does create a lovely matte look when used to set foundation. My sister used too much and ended up with a ghost white face which isn't the aim. It is very messy to apply and is in a hefty tub so isn't for on the go touch ups. I wouldn't say it masks fine lines as it says on the website but it does create a lovely finish.

I often just buy my eyelashes from Body Care so £2-3 a pair. This set of two was £3, or £1.50 with the 50% off code. I've not yet worn them but as you can see from the picture the glue is showing so I don't have high hopes. I am one of those people who can never be arsed to complain, instead I will just try and pick the glue off and if that doesn't work just throw them away.

Now it might have just been my current false nails but I literally couldn't get into this blush. It took me a while to work out it was a slide packaging. There is a vast difference between the packaging from the 'Studio' range  the normal basic ELF stuff. The blush its self has a nice shimmer and is highly pigmented. In fact the blush on my fingers was just from opening the packaging. I only bought this to see if my yellow based pale skin could handle a coral blusher. The answer? No. I'll stick to bright pinks. But for less than £2 who cares! I would look nicer when my skin has a tan so will just go in my blusher drawer.

I also bought a nail polish in 'chocolate', my sister described the colour as mud, which goes on nice and opaque after two coats and a Small Angled Brush which is perfect for filling in eyebrows - both shown in the top photo. I did purchase the Brightening Eye Liner in Gilded but when I tested it on the back of my hand it just scratched my skin so that's going no where near my eye. Shame as it is a lovely colour.

Will I be ordering again? Yes but I will stick to the Studio Range. I really want to try the Complexion Perfection and the Studio Blushes.

Sorry for any obvious spelling mistakes in this, my computer is now convinced it is American every time I close a window so Spell Check is spelling everything with a "z". I've given up changing it back to British English every 10 minutes and might just throw the laptop out of the window.

Internacionale Dress

The last few days have not been very fun, full of car drama but more on that tomorrow. I live with a boy who hates summer (It's too hot) I however turn 23 in just over two weeks and have always been a summer baby. My pale legs beg to differ but that's nothing fake tan can't fix. Been on the search for a pair of shorts to wear with all the tops I usually shove leggings on with to get me through the summer months. Those New Look ones are perfect and very flattering. I'm currently trying out Garnier's Summer Body Moisturiser rather than my old faithful St. Moritz

I have been home for a few days and forgot how beautiful the garden is there, if only I actually had a camera and could take lovely photographs of it, alas I don't. My dad grows his own vegetables at the end of the garden along with our 7 chickens. Seriously eggs straight from your own chickens taste amazing, I was sent back with some but the car drama meant I came back minus a car and most of my things. It was a nice change from being stuck in a shared house. Hopefully the job and flat hunt will eventually come to an end and we will have somewhere nice to live!

Hands to the sky and throw your head back

- I do enjoy a good shopping trip, I had a tiny bit of money to spend so went to Primark in Preston to pick up some bits and pieces. Also found myself in H&M trying on maxi dresses and eventually Lush. I have no restraint. I decided to forego driving and get to the train down to Preston which was a nice change from getting angry on the M6.

- The necklace was £1 in Primark, I hardly wear any necklaces at the minute but couldn't resist a bird necklace. The leopard scarf is clearly a rip of the Louis Vuitton one, I have found a few dupes for it on ebay but am always wary of ordering from the other side of the world so have settled for this Primark number. It is massive so lovely for the very British weather we are currently enduring. Please summer, come back. The bag looks a little cheap in the flesh but I couldn't resist the fringing, makes a nice change from lugging my River Island satchel around which is full of stuff I really do not need.

- At 5ft 2 and a half I didn't think I'd ever buy a maxi length dress but caved to this dress from H&M it's a tiny bit big but with a belt and a big knitted cardigan I'm set in this horrible April weather.

- These two were quickly bought from the New Look sale yesterday on my way home from work, not even tried them on yet but New Look's sale is currently only exchange only so hopefully they will fit, randomly grabbed them both in a size bigger as they just looked so tiny on the rack in my usual size. Living with a boyfriend who eats constantly and stays skinny is doing nothing for my hips. They were around £7 or £8 each, my wardrobe up here is lacking simple tunic dresses I can put on for work or just to.. well I currently only get dressed to go to work or an exam!

- I also picked up a shirt from Primark which literally hangs off me, hoping that with a belt or worn with bare legs and massive heels it will look okay.

PS Currently addicted to Calvin Harris featuring Kelis - Bounce. Working in a night club is seriously changing my taste in music!
