Escentual Wish List

Throughout March Escentual have upto a third off French Pharmacy brands - La Roche Posay, Vichy, Avene, A-Derma, Klorane, Caudalie, Rene Furterer and Pierre Fabre. I've heard of some of these, mainly due to the cult status some hold on blogs. I am already a huge La Roche Posay fan as I posted about the other day but there are some other favourites on my wishlist as well as some products I would love to try.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Skin Recovery Accelerator & Cicaplast Lips - My love of the Cicaplast Baume has meant these are top of my list, the lip cream promises to reduce irritation and prevent new cracked lips appearing. Perfect. The Skin Recovery Accelerator was created with the after care of cosmetic procedures in mind, it boosts the skins recovery time. Perfect for the many acne scars I have as well as surgical scars and grazes.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - Remember when this was THE blogger product? In every must have and every what's in my handbag post. Of course I bought into the hype.. and unfortunately actually really loved it. Jenny has a lovely post on it which I completely agree with, it basically just soothes my skin and smells divine.

Nuxe RĂªve de Miel Honey Lip Balm - A few months ago I asked twitter the best lip balm as I had tried everything and nothing was working to stop the recurrence of my dry lips. I spotted this in Marks and Spencer a few weeks later after hearing lots of positive things about it. I am now on my second pot, that's how good it is. Who ever finishes lip balm! I don't know if it is the repairing honey or the soothing grapefruit but this pot of wonder is amazing, tempted to buy a back up while it is 1/3 off!

Avene Cleanance Purifying Mattifying Lotion / Toner - I love a good toner, especially one for blemish prone skin. This promises to soothe and irritation and leave skin matte. Perfect when my skin goes through it's oily stage in Summer.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil Spray - This is something else that has seen a lot of love on beauty blogs. I used to be petrified of oils, even to use them on my dry hair because of the fear of it getting greasy. I am now a convert to The Body Shop's Vitamin E Serum in Oil (post here) and often use oils in my hair. This sounds like the perfect all rounder with the added spray applicator an added bonus.

Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation - I have blogged about my love of this foundation before, it is serious coverage and in the end I stopped using it as a foundation and moved onto using it as a concealer mainly as the shade wasn't perfect. However looking back on photos from when I used this foundation I can't believe how flawless it made my skin look, full coverage without the cakey finish some foundation causes. I am curious to try it again due to discovering buffering brushes which has completely changed the way I apply foundation (don't I sound dramatic).

SHOES SHOES SHOES

I'm still bed bound, so all I can do is look at pretty shoes. However pretty the Topshop shoes are in the first set, there is no way I can afford to spend £60+ on a pair of shoes. So I found myself on the MissGuided website and fell in love with the shoes. As you can see I love anything leopard print, anything with a massive heel and studs.

LEOPARD!

I love leopard print, addicted to it utterly and completely. So love when it comes around in trends so it is everywhere in shops!

Topshop "Swagger" Heels / Next Platform Wedges / Next Animal Print Jacket / Red Herring Faux Fur Collar Coat
Went shopping for work / smart clothes last week and just fell in love with so many things. The Topshop Heels are just my favourite shoe, animal print, high and a platform. Will be searching the high street for a more affordable version. I love New Look heels as they fit so well!

Amii asked for some wonderful guest bloggers to blog about things we love in Autumn, of course I picked Leopard Print and did a mini nail art tutorial with wonderful matching eye make-up to match. So pop over to Scarlet Pout. (I am scheduling this post and so is Amii so this could go terribly wrong!) see.

Wishful Thinking

- I really want to try BB Creams, MACs is already on the market but I have already tried Garnier's BB Cream and am still trying to get the best out of it. What are they? They help "even skin tone and create a natural, naked finish". Perfect!
- Stila's foundation just looks amazing. Simple
- After borrowing my friends Urban Decay eyeliners I remembered my love for coloured eye liner. Currently using 17 at Boot's version but they just don't have the staying power of Urban Decay's.
- Even though I have thick dark brown hair and dark eyes my eyebrows just decided to be different. I pencil them in every day (GOSH's eyebrow kit is perfect for this!) I have heard that Rapidlash can also help eyebrows. For now I will just carry on colouring them in. I actually feel naked without my eyebrows "did".

I am again on a makeup buying ban. I have far too much! However I have already filled my Model's Own basket waiting for the 50% Sale to start!

Pink Pink Pink

I really have an obsession with the colour pink. I was stupidly excited by the fact my new T-Mobile dongle was bright pink. So a post with lots of pink items that I love! I am actually very impressed by mobile broadband. I have gone for a pay as you go option, you can easily keep track of your data usage in a little program that comes with the cute usb stick!

Lipstick Print Choolips at ASOS Dress

I am on a shopping ban (except things I obviously need like USB dongles) but really want to try Sleek makeup. The pout paints have had so many good reviews on many beauty blogs. My rubbish tiny Superdrug does not sell Sleek however (my Boots doesn't even sell Models Own!) and I don't like ordering makeup of the internet usually. I also need the lips dress in my life, at £75 though I will never be buying it. That is a weeks rent!

Good Luck to all those who are or know someone getting their A Levels Results today. We are having a massive A Levels Results Party in work tonight.. until 6am. Oh lord, Drunk 18 year olds.

That is the ugliest f-ing skirt I've ever seen

Oh routine, how I want you. I'm surviving on 5 hours sleep a night and naps. The mixture of two jobs and exams is not a pretty one.

As previously discussed I spend my life in black work tshirts, in my retail job this is fine over dresses and pretty skirts. However behind a bar jeans or black skirts are best. I usually wear black body-con jobs with leggings. I am on the search for a short black skirt with pockets, but I am far too fussy to find anything I like. My part time bar job has turned into a more permanent one after I have finished my exams, gaining club management experience and all that goes with it so will be forever looking for a practical black skirt.

I do find myself searching daily on Topshop, Miss Selfridge and ASOS for this illusive skirt but instead find many others I want.

The ASOS one looks horrible and cheap as most of there clothes do but is exactly what I am looking for. Although the Miss Selfridge one ticks all the boxes too. The rest are skirts I keep imagining outfits for. The Floral number from Topshop I can see with a nice big tshirt and sandals for summer, but my exam diet of crap has made my hips expand. I did attempt a run the other day, managed near 2 miles but almost died. So horribly unfit.

I keep online window shopping, I actually have money in my account at the end of the week for once but I seem to be turning into an adult and thinking of flat deposits and furniture. What happened to the party girl? Exams do finish soon however and I know exactly what I will be buying first, a bottle of Lamb's Spiced Rum. I think I might have actually found a replacement for the much missed orginal Sailor Jerry's Rum.

PS Actually writing this at 5.40am, just got in from work and cannot sleep. So Mean Girls it is.

No headbands in College, okay?

I love Gossip Girl, I really do. The impossible lives, the amazing wardrobes and Blair's headbands. Or hairbands, I am never quite sure. My grandma referred to them as Alice Bands. Dan Humphrey does take it upon himself to tell Blair "No more headbands in College" as shown in this gif.

I am 22 and still wear hair accessories pretty much every day. Be it a bow pinned to the side of a messy up bun or a hairband to cover up two days of unwashed hair. They are fun to wear for work where my hair needs to be tied up. I do not have Blair Waldorf's budget however, I occasionally find my self looking at £400 headbands and then realising that is rent for a month. A girl can dream! I love flowers in my hair for summer and black lace numbers in winter, mostly bought from Primark, Asda and Matalan. My budget does not stretch to even Topshop, maybe a Topshop sale.

The first River Island hairband looks ridiculous on the model, but looks would be fun to wear. Of course the Valentino one is never going to be mine but I love simple classic hairbands, makes the days when my hair is full of dry shampoo and sambuca a bit more manageable when shoved in a messy bun. I love the wire hairbands that are all over the highstreet currently, my favourite is actually a big 'black silk'one from Sainsbury's. However in most that I have bought the stitching has come loose and the wire has started to poke out from the end. Not a good look.

Floral one from Matalan and the lace one from Asda. It was inevitable the wire would come out in the lace hairband as there are holes in it. The Matalan one is just badly made, oh disposable fashion.

Oh so pretty

Currently I am meant to be saving money, well not saving as in shoving money under the mattress or in a savings account but not buying lots of clothes or make-up. It doesn't help that Asda sell make-up so even when I'm trying to buy milk and eggs - unlikely story, I don't cook - there is cheap make-up telling me to buy it. Eyes Lips and Face or ELF is a brand that I have been meaning to try for a while, mainly due to the prices but also because of the many rave reviews around the internet. There is currently a 25% off by getting the code from the facebook of there distribution company Distribeauty.

My ELF wishlist

The Blush is a shade I've wanted to use for a while but haven't had a chance to try it due to only finding the shade from high end cosmetic companies rather than my usual high-street haunts. The ELF website promises that the High Definition Powder "masks fine lines and imperfections for a radiant complexion" which sounds good to me. The rest are cheap 'hand bag essentials' I would love to try.

I might in fact order these items thursday at 2am when I get paid, so we shall see what the budget ELF brand is really like.

My downfall recently is the Boots 3 for 2 across all make-up. Go in for blusher and come out with blusher, eyeshadow and an eye pencil.

Excuse my awful circulation which makes my hands forever purple - New favourite eye pencil 17 Photo Flawless Eye Pencil in Copper goes on nice and smoothly like Urban Decay's 24/7 Eye Pencils. Going to wear it for work tonight will know how long it lasts then

The Blush on the left is my current go to 'China Pink'. The one is something a little less pink for a change, 'Plum Puff' from 17 at Boots.

The last item is this '17 Trio Eye Shadows' in Barely There. My awful attempt of showing the colours was taken in my car in far too much sunlight. But it is the perfect set for a nice neutral eye for work

Luck

The beautiful weather has made me re-think my "going out" wardrobe. It is full of black floral Motel dresses and black Lace numbers. Also having a sixth of my wardrobe actually up at university with me, due my living arrangements meant getting ready for an impromptu night on on Tuesday harder. I spend my life in black t shirts and leggings for work. Oh how fashionable. In fact we worked until 10pm on Tuesday night and then got our wine on. Ordering a Chinese for dinner only to get two fortune cookies with delightful fortunes.

Tuesday was a fun night however, ridiculous games of "I have never", getting thrown out of pubs at closing time after ordering 4 pitchers, going back to some random flat until 4.30am and demonstrating how to play Ring of Fire. Back to being a proper student for one night only! Now back to work work work. BOOO.

In the mean time, some online window shopping.

Dresses (L-R) All from Topshop £70 - £36 - £50

I love the first Topshop dress, however refuse to pay £70 for a dress. I actually have no money to spend on dresses but keep torturing myself with online window shopping. The floral number is an instant favourite for me as it ticks two of my favourite boxes. Floral and an interesting back. The third my boobs would never fit in but I just love the bow.

The shoes are all so predictable for me. I am 5ft 2 so do not see the point in wearing heels that are not massive. And I mean massive. I have never ordered shoes from Chockers but will do when the money situation improves!

Now, back to watching America's Next Top Model, I loved Jaclyn and her cute voice. I now do not care who wins, they all just enjoy a good cat fight too much.
